There's no better way to ring in the month of May (other than with an extended celebration of Cinco de Mayo) than with Free Comic Book Day! It's the delightful day (happening every year on the first Saturday in May) when participating comic book shops around the world give away free comic books to anyone who comes into their stores. Free stuff? On a Saturday? What could possibly be better than that?!
If you ask me, the only way to up the ante is to throw in a chance to meet an author. Luckily for our readers, that oppotrunity exists! If you're in the Chicago area, make sure to stop by Challengers Comics in the Wicker Park neighborhood tomorrow — Saturday, May 3rd. Kean Soo, the creator of Capstone's Jellaby, will be making an appearnce at the store and signing copies of Capstone's "Adventures of Jellaby" free comic. And if you really want to boost your knowledge and become a true comic-book buff, make sure to read up on Jellaby ahead of time over on Capstone Kids. You can also check out our other characters and comic offerings while you're there. Happy Friday, everyone — and happy Free Comic Book Day!
