The end of August is upon us, which can mean only one thing: the Minnesota State Fair has started. As someone who grew up in the Northeast, I was a bit overwhelmed the first time I attended the state fair here. When I left, I swear I was emanating some incomprehensible smell: a glorious mixture of popcorn, fried candy bars, bacon, and live farm animals.
I'd had no idea what to expect going in to my first Minnesota State Fair. Luckily we have plenty of books here at Capstone to prepare you for just about anything — even if you happen to be a first-time attendee of the state fair.
This year, I plan to study up. If you're a state fair newbie, I encourage you to join me!
